Brown Benchpress for Cancer

Monday, November 7th marks the 5th Annual Brown Benchpress for Cancer.  Last year, the event raised more than $28,000.  The mission is to raise money for the American Cancer Society in memory of Lawrence Rubida, a Brown football player and captain who died of cancer during his senior year in 2005

There are a variety of ways to donate, either on-line, with a monthly or one-time charge, write a check Write a check to “Bench Press for Cancer” All donations can be sent to:

Or pledge directly to a player for a donation per rep (55, 125 or 165 lbs.).

This is definately a good cause and an admirable endeavor by the Brown football team and students across campus.  This event holds special and personal meaning for my family this year so we thank the guys and fully support their efforts.  Please donate!
