Brown Survives Late Yale Push 34-28

Brown pushed a healthy 27-7 lead into the middle of the thrid quarter and then survived sloppy play and a final push by Yale to extend their winning streak and keep title hopes alive.

Brown allowed Yale to hang around long enough to have the game come down to an on-side kick with less than 2 minutes left, which Brown recovered and was able to run out the clock.  Although statistically Brown nearly topped 200 yards rushing, half of that total came in one play and Mark Kachmer had only 19 carries but 192 yards rushing.

The Brown defense forced multiple turnovers but could not convert into many points.  Defense held Yale to 8 yards rushing but the nations #10 passing efficiency defense gave up close to 300 yards and #3 national scoring defense gave up 4 TDs.

Brown will need to hold focus against Dartmouth and Columbia and hope for Yale and or Penn to rebound and knock off Harvard to get a share of the Ivy Crown.
